History of B.I.A.S UK

The Buguma Internal Affairs Society UK (B.I.A.S) was formed in 1989 by Buguma indigenes residing in the United Kingdom. B.I.A.S UK is a non political organisation and it is fully registered as charity organisation since December 1995 with the UK Charity Commission.

We are one of the front runners of Rivers State community organisations in the UK

Our objectives are:

• The promotion of goodwill and fostering better and mutual understanding amongst Buguma Community members in the UK and the general public.
• The advancement of education and training in employment particularly for those of the Buguma Community members living in the United Kingdom.
• The advancement of education in the culture of the Buguma people.
• Relief of poverty by the provision of an advice and information centre.
• To establish a community centre.
